I am facilitator for the Sistahs of Color Reading Group, the host for Romance Slam Jam 2012.

We currently have 20 members ranging in age 25 - 80+ that have been together for seven years and love getting together and discussing what we are reading. The reading choices are as diverse as the ages, personalities and backgrounds; however, because of this, we've all been exposed to books and authors we might have never read or known about.
The books listed on My Shelf are books that I have read and keep for my Personal Library so that I can/do/will reread them when the mood hits me. The books I Own are currently in my evergrowning TBR/Must Read Pile.
I enjoy hearing and reading what others have read and are recommending. Other than reading, I also cross stitch, rubber stamp,collect bookmarks, bears, and travel. Whenever I travel, I am always looking for a bookstore in order to find out what's on their shelves related to African American books and authors. « less
