I must say I'm a bit jealous of your collection of children's classics. Also, I'm a bit curious about your West Side Story book. The movie is one of my all time faves.

I just noticed your Robert McNamara quote... have you seen the documentary "Fog of War"? I highly recommend it. One of the best films I've seen, and yet it's basically just stock footage combined with a soundtrack and McNamara talking about Vietnam and the Cold War. Wow. So good...

Yes, Maria, it's completely legal to put books on your shelf that you've only read, but don't own. The Attorney General won't come knock on your door, and neither will I. I do it all the time, so it must be OK, right? Right??

i am SO sorry for taking SO long to get back to you.....oye! Ahhhhh...Neruda...so romantic...so...colorful...he paints a picture i want to look at...ahh...as you can see from my picture i am mixing his 100 love sonnets with all the other books i am reading...i try to add a slash of his works to my day so i do forget to dream and envison love in the human form...as far as him teaching me spanish, i wish i could say i am fluent now-simply not the case! now that i am not at harvest i am starting up a compassion network to link faith based organizations and city agencys together to meet the needs of the tri-city area. i hope other cities will like what we are doing and do the same in their city! i will be launching it in Jan 2007. right now i am just researching and planning. it's been fun, sobering and SO stretching personally! With all the intensity you see why i escape with neruda....fill me in on your life and reads!
