I am a picky reader, but with no other choice I will read anything and everything. I keep trying the library, but not so much. I am not a good customer. So instead I buy new and used, then promise myself I will take the books post-read to the used bookstore and redeem myself. I am not fond of serial writers. I like any genre if the writing is thoughtful. However, I avoid romance novels all all costs (even free.) My Favored Authors include Kurt Vonnegut, Edgar Allan Poe, A.S. Byatt. I love Bukoswki, went to see Allen Ginsberg introduced by the Dalai Lama no less...Wonderful. On any given day I have a new favorite. People that write well are extraordinary.
Like I said....I read everything. My best friend the librarian may call me out on that statement, but I stand my ground.
I am an executive for an American manufacturer, aka glorified manager. I have one son, age 7, an unruly husband and a gaggle of unruly friends. I cant be confined...so I read, less I be deemed unruly.
If I hate it, I rate it. If I love it-just the same.
