Hello, I am from the great city of Prague and have been living in the U.S. for past 17 years. I am a librarian, and this is a great place to keep track of my books, learn about interesting books to read and maybe meet some friends for "virtual booksclubs" . I love to read, cook, garden, travel and learn! I have a great husband and 3 cats....more »

Well, regarding Viewegh I am dubious :-) There are few his books I like, i.e. Bajecna leta pod psa or Roman pro zeny or maybe Ucastnici zajezdu but actually "I like" is the best decription I never read them more then once and would not say it is necessary :-)

I like books by Milos Urban as he plays with the facts and incorporates them in his totally fictional story. I just bought his new book Pole a palisada, which re-tells the story about Libuse and Premysl. I really am looking forward to reading this book.

    Hi Magda,
Did you like the new book on Einstein? I stayed away from it because I heard the author tell an audience that he thought Einstein believed in God. Most of the accounts of his life I have heard he was a Humanist. What are your thoughts about the book, and his supposed belief in a deity?
    Love,
    Vicki
