You've got some really interesting portraits hidden in that stash (if, of course, these are yours :P). I like this one (or its kind) in particular http://www.flickr.com/photos/paganmoth/4876785070/in/photostream But riddle me this: What IS pagan about a moth?

I can't complain about the viewfinders since film SLRs are particularly notorious for theirs. And anyway, I keep the company of quite a few googly-eyed fellow photography enthusiasts, for whom the live view LCD option is a blessing (something I personally detest).

To tell you the truth, I had to google lomo lca+ (I am not as knowledgeable as I'd like to be **sniffs**) I just dug up my old Olympus P&S - another cousin in the slowly-diminishing film P&S family - so I understand how addictive they can get. Difficult to find film and get it developed the old way now but there's this lovely little cubby of a studio in Dadar that still does it like the good old days. Bit of a journey to get there though...not sure it's at all encouraging.

I'm saving up for a full-frame too. Almost bought a 1D mk II for 75K before my old prof warned me off second hand DSLRs. He said, "You may be able to trust second hand SLRs or even hand-me-down DSLR lenses but steer clear of that great fiend - the used DSLR!" So, I'm hoping he'll help fund my 1.5L 5D mk II What do you think? :P

Prob with my photographs is most of them were made for purely professional purposes; lots of legal shebang if I make them public property. And, unfortunately, I haven't been as click-happy as I'd like to have been otherwise, so very few photographs for me to publish. Hoping this year will be better for me - photographically. Keeping my fingers & toes crossed!

Welcome back to civilization, my friend. Although I can't really spout the million made-up attractions that used to draw people to Bombay...my apologies. I'm getting a little sick of this city. Surrounded by boredom & filth & still unwilling to remove myself from its death-like vise. (There I go again. No more 'Rev 22:20' on loop)
You cleared out your books and this is the first I'm hearing of it **shaking her head in disappointment** Although mum's promised she'll have me out on my arse the next time I bring a book home before I finish with the others I've got dying a slow death in my own library.
K1000 is "nice" but not as snazzy as the ME Super (I miss my baby **sniffles**) Yeah the Rebel's the 500D. Video capabilities are a moot point in my book. I mean what are you buying a DSLR for (generalization, you understand) to make photographs with or use it like a fancier handicam. The next time I'm going to let loose and bang the idiot, that asks for HD video facilities, on the head with the freakishly expensive camera he's buying (again, my frustration is only with the growing hordes of gits out there in the world).
I have no particular skill with the camera...it simply pleases me to have one on hand to do with as I please. And a few photo jobs on the side to keep me happy. Oh, I usually can't bear to have my camera out of my hands so that's where it stays - in my hand, right to be specific. The strap gives me the itch.
My plan for before just before the rains is simply to wait for them - their coming will mark my 24th year on this planet, a fact which I have mixed feelings about. I'll show you mine if you show me yours :P Actually, I'm pretty touch-me-not with my work so you'll have a helluva time getting me to show you some of 'em. En Guard.

Look who's finally come out of hibernation (yeah I know, pots kettle & black, right?) You still got a cam looped around your neck or have you flitted onto something better like that proverbial butterfly? Photography actually was the only good thing I took away from my PG. Did a couple of basic courses after and sunk a year's worth of mullah into a Rebel Ti. Happy with it but happier with the k1000 Pentax I have stashed away, out of my brother's line of sight. My one and only thespian pal's abandoned me for the greener pastures of Exeter,.....to study Theatre! **screeching** If i so much as whispered similar intentions they'd strap on the old ball and chain faster than I could shout "Beware" So mind-numbing work it is for me **sighs deeply and shakes her head** What's been keeping you underground all this time? Finally been buried under your mountain of books? That'd be a good way to go **smiling wistfully** I haven't even looked at or taken a sniff off a book in over a miserable year (one that requires the application of my sorely diminishing intellect, of course. Chick Lit doesn't count, I know) Any suggestions to ease my way back in?

    Let's see...
I graduated as a translator last summer and now work for a communication company. I moved out of my parents home and rent an appartment nearby. I've read too many books to name and saw lots of movies. I studied in Italy for a summer, I saw New York and Lisbon and plan to visit New York again with my sister this time.
    So pretty big changes actually.

Yeah, sure, it was the last of his novel's i read, I loved it. I love how the plot twists and turns and how he puts gods in a whole different level. Very interesting =) Looking for something new to read. Any suggestions?

sure, I'll take a look at it ;-). right now I am trying to woo an insomnia with Yann Tiersen and Devotchka... they have been my madness, my love, my torture, for over one year and a half. http://www.myspace.com/devotchkamusic
I suggest starting with Head Honcho. we'll talk about Tiersen later, if by chance, you haven't meet him yet...
Those two, Yann T and DeVotchKa are the replacing parts of my brain at this moment. I will probably write more in the morning, when I will actually have regained speech. so nice to hear from you again...

oh, hello, it's been a long, long time, and it's such a pity... I just got back home from a week at the seaside, in the small village Vama Veche, notorious here for it's unique atmosphere, being a 'students resort' - tiny, eclectic, bohemian, nonconformist, agitated, surprisingly relaxed and 'weedy' , hehe... well, it's been a very nice stay, mainly because of the large variety of music you can listen there. at night, Vama is one large open-air nightclub. by day, there are bars that enchant your beach hours with jazz and lounge music. and in fact anyone can fine a suitable place: there are reggae, ragga and jungle bars, alternative bars, metal and gothic bars, drum n' bass clubs, etc. etc. so, how about you? what have you been doing recently? I keep saying to myself that one is the loneliest number you'll ever know.

Ah Beo ole buddy ole pal...Where hast thou been? I've been keeping busy. Finally did a PGD in Social comm media from Sophia Polytech. And let me just say that that was a wasted year. Don't think I learnt much but at least I got to watch some cool movies. Oh yeah, and make some too. Or rather, two docus. It was fun but I now know what those editing sessions you were talking abt are like, first hand. Can't say I enjoyed those as much as the others did. Anywho, what's been keeping you busy? Still in theatre? Or has something else caught your fancy?
