The Reformer

The Reformer

When I worked as a County Corrections Officer in Burlington County, New Jersey, I would often see the devastating effects of generation curses. I processed an inmate one summer evening that molested his daughters. Within six months of his incarceration, The Lord gave me opportunity to lead him to salvation. This individual had repented of his... more »

Hi, do you know any one that would donate used PA/Music Equipment to my church? I don't really mind the size and the number what matters is that it is in working condition and can enhance our worship and outdoor ministry activities.

We have tried to acquire some on our own but things seem not to be working out well right now. In a country with over 40% living on less than a dollar a day, its just not easy to raise enough funds for this.

Please in case you know of someone, church or organization that can help us, do let me know. my e-mail address is cdavidopio@yahoo.com

    Hello Reformer,

Yes!! Men are lying to themselves if they think they are not lusting in some way or another. I see MEN all the time looking at the ladies and then smiling at times after they turn their heads. Thank you, for your reading and breakdown of lust and continue to be an encouragement to others..Many blessings to you and God Bless.

    Greetings,
I'm having a heck of a time posting. Shelfari has made a lot of changes since I've been here. I don't know what to click. The first post happened by a fluke.

If you get a particularly helpful critique at CritiqueCircle, keep in touch with that person. Their help will be invaluable. It is fun to critique the work of others too.

Let me know if you join and how it works for you! Now I'm going to try to post this darn note!
    Cheers,

Greetings, I just signed into Shelfari and found your group invitation pertaining to your book.

Are you familiar with the writer's site "CritiqueCircle?" It is a great site for writers where you critique the work of others to gain enough points to post your own work. The help can be very good, but you must remember that your work is being critiqued by seasoned and new authors. I've always been pretty satisfied.

Membership is free unless you want a premium membership, which is worthwhile especially for a novelist. check it out; I think you might find it very helpful!

Hmm.. I have a question about one of the books on your shelf. Is the book " When God hides his face" a good one? Do you recommend it? What's it all about? The title of the books is interesting to me.

Hi, Reformer. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view. A story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. I’m including here the publisher's notes from Amazon.com. You can read samples at shelfari.com by entering the title. Let me know what you think.

    Book Description
Caleb, an elderly Jew, leaves the safety of his home in Cana on a mission to find a man he believes is in Jerusalem. Miriam, Caleb’s only remaining child, accompanies him disguised as a boy. In the desolation of the war struck Galilean countryside, father and daughter risk their lives to journey south on the Jordan River trail. As they walk, Caleb intrigues Miriam with a captivating story of his youth that will change her future destiny. A story of a time forty years prior when he became a sandal maker in order to observe a man some called the Miracle Worker. Caleb secretly kept notes of the events he saw and heard as he followed the crowds. With his objective, skeptical point of view, he reveals the fascinating ministry of the one he called the “Master.” Heart pounding perils and the threat of death endanger the two travelers, but nothing could foretell the fate awaiting them in Jerusalem!

    From the Publisher
    A. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.
