When I was young my Aunt works (still does) for the Toronto Public Library and she used to get the old Harlequin books, they were tossing out. She'd bring them to the cottage to read in the summer, and I can remember at 10 years old pulling a Harlequin Presents book from her bag and reading in secret... giggling over the 'bad' parts.

Fast forward 10 years and I was at a store on vacation and saw a Harlequin Duets, and picked it up to read. That did it in for me... I was hooked! My TBR pile is getting worse by the week... but I have a love of bookstores & used bookstores and garage sales are also great for used books :) « less
