Books are my passion; God is my life. That's my motto! I've always loved to read - my parents would punish me when I was a kid by taking away my library card and sending me outside to play! Since "growing up" (I'm 24), I've lost a lot of the time to read. Recently, I've rediscovered my passion and given up TV most nights to read instead. It's... more »

Joss Whedon's an atheist, but an extremely moral person - his powerful ethical awareness shines through in all his series.

I'm really intrigued to encounter another religious Buffy fan. I find the series to be so full of truth, even moral truth, but my daughter (who is a film school student at USC) tells me that the brilliant creator of this series is harshly anti-Christian. What do you think?

It was a really good, really scary book! He co-authored it with Frank Peretti but it seemed to favor Ted Dekker's writing style.

Yeah, we decided to read the book before the movie just in case we decide to see it... but I don't think I can watch the movie!!

I've looked at the site, but I've yet to join in any forums. I'll be doing that later tonight though, once I've finished my rerereading of Eclipse. :P

As I can't reply directly to you in the discussing thread (what is up with that anyway?) and I don't know if you'll get it otherwise; yes, I did read Eclipse before New Moon. I'd read the detailed summary of NM on wiki, and I had Eclipse but not NM and I just couldn't wait. I figured I could live with reading the third book before the second, but that I couldn't survive if I had to wait any longer to read more in the Twilight universe. :P

And I agree. Plus, it's been building up for so long now. If it doesn't happen, well, it wouldn't be fun at all for Meyer. Plus, Bella would have to like, die for real for that to happen, and if that happens, then there's no more books for her to write, and she has said that she has a lot of story left to tell regarding their relationship.

Sorry for the long comment. :) I tend to get a little beside myself when I talk about Twilight.

I have just discovered new time to read because the youngest of my 5 children is a senior in high school this year. I jsut can't believe that I get to read almost whenever I want to. I usually have several books going at once. And, God is my life too. Isn't it incredible that He uses the Word as the way to describe Himself.
