I have been bitten by book bug from a very tender age. I have read several of my first books hidden in my textbooks, under the faint light of night bulb in my bedroom and sometimes even in toilets. :)

I can go to extremes to acquire and then to finish a book in one sitting. I have woken up whole night at times to finish reading some books. Another example of extreme was that I finished reading "Jane Eyre" and "Sense and Sensibility" unabridged version during my Board exam holidays. As in, the gaps we have in exam days.

I have been regular member of several libraries in my life. I am not much of a collector of books, I routinely give my books away to friends, cousins and kids.

I have no favorite genre. I read every genre under fiction unless its too gory or technical. I like reading non-fiction as well. Autobiographies, biographies, memoirs and historical books interest me a lot.

If you have a book to recommend, please feel free. But never recommend a self-help book, they are an absolute No-No. « less
