I have been bitten by book bug from a very tender age. I have read several of my first books hidden in my textbooks, under the faint light of night bulb in my bedroom and sometimes even in toilets. :)

I can go to extremes to acquire and then to finish a book in one sitting. I have woken up whole night at times to finish reading some... more »

By the way, I have more of my collection at GoodReads. But I still don't use these sites often enough.

Great to meet a fellow Poirot admirer :) Thanks for your friendship :)

Some of the books associated with Jacaranda are Shashi Warrier's The Homecoming, Gouri Dange's 3, Zakia Mansion, Tushar Gandhi's Let's Kill Gandhi, Kiran Khalap's Halfway up the Mountain, Anita Nair's A Better Man and Ladies Coupe. More recently BLAFT, An Anthology of Tamil Pulp Fiction. For details you could check out the site http://www.jacaranda-press.com/index.htm

Jayapriya Vasudevan, founder of Jacaranda is a very dear friend of mine. We met in Singapore and I did a bit of editing work for Jacaranda and hope to do more in the future. You mention libraries - could you suggest good ones in Bombay? I love to buy books, but a great library is like oxygen :)

Hi! I found you through 'The Diary of a Social Butterfly' which I enjoyed. I see we have a lot of books in common - so I thought we could be friends. May I add you as one? Your profile says you like historical fiction - I would like to recommend The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Society that I read recently and thoroughly enjoyed. 'Shadow of the Wind' by Carlos Ruiz Zafon set in old-time Barcelona, is pretty good too. Happy Reading!
