I am an ADHD , I do start books , but very few can keep sticking to my eyeballs , after I turn the first couple pages.
I have read almost evrything to everything. Humor and specially Sarcasm are the two things that usually hold me on to a book . I love to read fiction , and I usually refrain from this debate about fiction v/s nonfction, as I... more »

    hello
i know you must be quiet busy but I thought you would find this ironical , do you remember the exhibition The Bodies that I went to see. I just got offered a position(unpaid) to do those same techniques that they used at the exhibition plastination here at the University of toledo medical center.(so i will be working there over the summer) and of course working in research. Im so excited but have no idea how im going to manage it ???

I have just completed the reading, Healing Without Freud or Prozac by the world renown, Dr. David Servan-Schreiber. One of the most complete books on curing stress and anxiety that I have read.

regarding the camera question.. It is hard to shot in lowlight it is very unforgiving with the settings and having the camera be motionless. Generally if their is little light there is little that the camera can pick up on. I haven't ventured into low light photography. But I've seen people do neat things with moon and start shots they usually are pretty technically advanced and use a slow exposer with a tripod.

    Hi poojapallav,
I'm mainly browsing and slowly working through many books. I don't have one that I am gobbling up. Moby Dick, Metamagical Themas: Questing for the Essence of Mind and Pattern, In the Vineyard of the Text: A Commentary to Hugh's Didascalicon, Dreaming in Code: Two Dozen Programmers, Three Years, 4,732 Bugs, and One Quest for Transcendent Software and the most consistent book I've been working on is a math book called Algebra Demystified : A Self Teaching Guide (Demystified). I work with so many scientist that I figure I need to get better with math so I can understand what they are writing about better. I've been having fun browsing peoples books shelves on Safari. In many ways it's a walk down memory lane for me. It's so fun to see people different reading interests.

I think Olympus cameras are very good. I used to have a 10X zoom Olympus point and shoot. I was just too slow in responding so I went the SLR route. I have a 100 x 400 zoom lens that I enjoy and it kind of dictates that I use Canon bodies.

Here's a psychology type book that is fiction: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig. Here is a non-fiction read on psychology: I'm Okay; You're Ok.

    Hi poojapallav,

I'm a little confused. Did you get my email regarding suggested Digital Rebel for the Digital SLR camera? I think Cannon has some nice lenses. I usually use a wide angle or a 100x400 zoom lens with a Cannon 40D. I think the digital point and shot fit a lot of peoples need if they are not taking wildlife or sports shots.

ummm my dark side lol wellll i am a huge fan of bret easton ellis, american psycho being one of my favorites. it's one of those books that makes you wonder what type of person would actually choose to read something that disturbed. um house of secrets (about the sexton family) was absolutely mortifying (terribly sad & screwed up family) i like william s burroughs, quite a peculiar guy. augusten burroughs (running with scissors) is hilarious, i have all his books. anyway i'm just about finished with lolita, it def takes patience to read it but i've enjoyed it so far...along w/ my french notes lol

Good luck with Grapes of Wrath. I hope you can get through it with your ADHD. It's been a few years since I read it, but I don't remember it being gripping literature. I was required to read it for school, but am glad that I read it. I am currently reading a biography on Gregory Peck, but am not very far into it. I am also kind of reading "Tales from a Thousand and One Nights.

Hope you enjoy Grapes of Wrath. I'm currently reading Welcome to Hard Times by E.L. Doctorow and the Fables of La Fontaine. I haven't gotten too far into either book yet.
