I normally don't care for stories with a lot of war/battle descriptions, but this book is excellent! The characters are so well developed. You really get to know them throughout the story.

Excellent book. I would recommend to anyone, even if you do not know someone with a drug addiction. It is insightful as to how it impacts family members in different ways. I liked that the author didn't try to wrap up the story in a neat package. He kept it real with the fact that his son will continue to struggle with his addiction to meth, but David (father) had to learn to be okay in spite his son's ups and downs. I'm debating on reading "Tweak" the son's (Nic) perspective.

Interesting book - at least the first two sections on the history of corn and information on the organics industry. Having read this book causes me to be more selective with my food choices at the grocery stores. I read the labels on my food more than I had in the past. I didn't enjoy the last section on the book about mycology and hunting. It just came off as slightly pretentious.

I loved this story. It stuck with me in a haunting sort of way for days after I read it. On one hand, I really empathized with Chris and understood his feelings of anger towards his parents and the unjustness of the world. On the other hand, I was angry at him for being cruel to those who loved him. Overall, such a sad story because I think he could have really touched many people's lives in a positive way and made wonderful changes to a lot of important issues (like world hunger).

It was an interesting book. However, I found myself wanting to know a little more about the various topics.
