saw a few books on your shelf that we share in common, so I thought I'd drop you a note. Just finished the White Rose book about Sophie and Hans Scholl. Great read!! I picked it up in preparation for a trip to Germany I have at the end of the month.
    Cheers!

I found Cloud Atlas difficult to read. There's a lot going on at once. I enjoyed Black Swan Green much more. I'm looking forward to his next release. I think he's a brilliant writer, sometimes his style trips me up. But it's certainly me, not Mr. Mitchell. LOL

I was just checking this week on some bands that were playing at Cat's Cradle. Explosions in the Sky is playing there and achhh! Sold Out! I lived in Chapel Hill for about a year. Hillsborough St...I miss it a lot too. Much better cultural scene in CH than here in Burlington.

I really loved it -- one of the best things I've read in a while. If you're just open to it being bizarre and huge, I'd be surprised if you didn't enjoy it. Is that Amsterdam, by the way?

Check out the above...they're sort of a aggregator of all the decent lit blogs..snippets here and there...can be a bit disorganized but I've found some good content. Click under the heading find blogs..and peruse the listings...ya should find something appealing.

If I had to pick it one and only one it would be A Wild Cheep Chase.

Thanks so much for the kind remarks. We need all the progressives we can use down here on Tar Heel Road ehh? LOL I'm a native Washingtonian so it's taken me some time to adapt, but I'm progressing....noooo pun intended...heh heh
