Hey, Janet; Just stopping by to say hello. Hope those storms a week or so back didn't do any damage out your way. They were bad. I'm still working on the daughter book. A lot happening and I've been really distracted. Can't seem to settle enough to read. :-|

Hey girl, good to hear from ya, T says hi back, we'll have to get together some time and chat and whatnot ... I enjoyed twilight of avalon, now to read the others :) I'm finding it hard to concentrate on any books right now, or in fact do anything that requires any amount of stringing sentences together .. In a bad way in that sense. Need to apply myself I think. I cant count how many books Ive started and just can settle to. Too much time on my hands and not enough motivation, gumption or discipline in my life I guess. Have joined the website so membership is pending I'll seek you out should I get accepted. Hopefully it will inspire and enlighten.

Take care of you, hope to catch ya soon L xxx

Thanks Janet. I am not a great reader of books, but I am curious. Hopefully I will be adding a few of my own soon.

Hey! Good to hear from you. I must have caught your vibes. I was thinking about you this morning and made a mental note to shoot you a message, but obviously I haven't gotten to it yet. I need to update my reading timeline. I've been in a weird headspace lately, distracted and very antsy, and have found it hard to settle on a book. After finishing that book, Passage, which drove me crazy for days afterward, and trying to get going in several different titles, I took them ALL back to the library, unread, and started over. I started Snow Flower and the Secret Fan last night and so far, I'm still interested. The Anne Boleyn book sounds very intriguing. I'll put it on the list. Groan! That TBR shelf is going to crack under the weight! LOL

It certainly was a gorgeous weekend! I tried to stay outside as much as possible and had all the doors in the house opened up. I don't go to the games. I don't much care for football (yes, I know, sacrilege! LOL), but I'm all for the Hotty Toddy and the socializing! I always wish them well, and hope each boy comes through each game safe and sound.

Hey! How're you doing? Did you survive the Monsoon last weekend? We are back on track now, but there were "repercussions". :-)

Thanks Janet for that very warm welcome! I am re-reading PG Wodehouse's Jeeves series at the moment. I've been sorely in need of a good laugh, and I've been getting a few of those from the master's books.

Reincarnation and NDE is fascinating, isnt it? I've sent you a note separately offline. Catch you soon.

Oh, forgot to say, I know exactly what you mean about not clicking with a book because of being in the mood for something different.

I think I've read that. For some reason I get that one confused with Many Mansions, which I think is about Edgar Cayce, but at the moment, I'm not even sure about that! I've just been reading about tea leaf reading. Fascinating subject. Has always fascniated me, but it's something I've never really tried. I see a lot of tea in my future..... LOL

I know you like Italy, books set in Italy, etc. Check out The Stargazer. I just added it to my TBR list. It sounds good, and like something you might like, as well. My TBR pile keeps getting bigger and bigger!

I've not read el Camino, but I'm familiar with what it's about, the pilgrimage in Spain, etc. Is it as good as her others? What did you think about Out on a Limb? Did you look at the mini series on youtube yet? I think it really captures the essence of her struggle to come to terms with everything and her initial reluctance to accept the "woo-woo" of it all! :-) Hope all's well with you.

Oooh! I know you're gonna enjoy Out on a Limb! And when you get done, check out the TV mini-series that she made of it. It's good too. I have officially begun The Girl Who Chased the Moon. Read about 4 chapters last night, and already got a handfull of odd characters with secrets. :-)

I haven't started Girl Who Chased the Moon yet, but it's on my night stand. I actually did read a couple of pages, but then decided I'd finish at least one other one before starting that one. I'm glad you enjoyed Garden Spell. I kind of enjoyed The Peach Keeper just a wee bit more. well maybe... lol It's a near thing! I'm OK. I'm ready for a break in the heat, but I always hate to say good bye to summer. Don't know why.
