“I would have loved this book if Sita, the main character hadn't been quite so emotionless.
I'm not saying she needs to be some whining, love struck buffoon, she should just feel something.
Also, the way Pike develops characters- or should I say the way he DOESN'T is annoying to me.
There were two parts of this book where I even cared for the main character, when she was a mortal, and when she helped Seymour (whom if you ask me could have been a main character and I would have liked this series more.)
I do have one thing that I can praise pike for: his descriptions of violence and carnage were very entertaining and the action is what could keep this series rolling.
Not for the faint of heart.
But then again, it is a vampire novel. ”
