My name is Emma. Em, Emmar, Emzie, M&M, anything will do. :) I am a dreamer, a writer, a reader, and a hopeless romantic. Reading is the BEST thing that EVER happened in this world. I am a big reader, and my favorite genres are fantasy, and realistic fiction. My role models are J.K. Rowling, Suzzane Collins, Scott Westerfeld, and John Green. They've taught me so much about books and writing. Speaking of which, I'm a writer. I love writing; it's what I want to spend my life doing. I mostly write fantasy/sci-fi, and I've written tons of poems and am working on a few novels. At the present I am trying to get published. Anyone know any good publishers?

Around the room
Not seeking any particular object
I come across
A big, brown, battered book
Laying, dusty
On the dark mahogany shelf
It seems to be
Welcoming me to another world
Calling me
My curiosity piqued, eyes wide
I pick it up
It's old pages thick and heavy with words
Another world
Waits within the binding
I open it
And the smell of ink, paper, and stories
Swirls out of the pages
As I read, my eyes drinking in the words
I know
I am home

~The best classrooms are the ones with paint splatters and license plates on the walls
~There is no moment more perfect than sitting in an art room painting chunks of wood, with the Peanuts theme song playing in the background.
~It's not okay to make mistakes. It's
important to make them.
~When things are bad, sing, no matter how bad you are. It works for me. :)
~Love is forever, so love passionately.
~It's really nice when someone asks if they can braid your hair.
~If you can forget about it easily, it's probably not worth worrying about.
~Don't stop smiling. People will miss seeing you smile.
~Don't underestimate the power of a little kindness, even if it's just your mom taking the time to make you some hot cocoa.
~Spend time with the people you love.
~Oh, and don't forget to be happy. Never forget that.
