Education's role in philippine development? That's interestng. I am from the Philippines, originally, been living in the caribbean for the past 16 years;;;in and out of my country I also lived in Kathmandu ,Bangkok and, Bali...spent a few months in tahiti..;anyway, that's not the point. education played a large part in the colonization of the Philippines, and of course in it's development.( The Philippines is not unique in this last part. education played and plays a large part in the development of every country in the world.)

the Spanish used religion to subjugate the Filipino natives and the americans used education. they sent the Thomasites to teach us english....from then on Flipinos dreamed in english....well, we could discuss this subject till kingdom come. You'll be welcome to visit my site
