    Hi Philip,

    I am a huge Twilight fan. I have read Stephenie Meyer’s books over and over again. The biggest appeal for me was the realism of the characters and the deep emotion they experienced as the story unfolded. I also loved how much I could relate to Bella. When I finished reading the series, I felt a big let down because I enjoyed the world of Forks, and closing the book on Breaking Dawn felt like saying goodbye to old friends. I have never felt that way about a story. It's a wonderful tribute to the skill and artistry of the author.

    To help dispel the strange void I was feeling, I decided to create my own story with intriguing new characters that I could enjoy and share with my friends. To see what developed, please visit my site at www.mayneattraction.com. I would love to get honest feedback from Twilight fans like myself. I have already written the first book in a series of three, but I would like your comments and suggestions to help me further develop the characters and story line as it progresses into books two and three. My website has places for you to send comments to tell me what you would like to see happen next.

    Below is a summary of the first story, called "In The Spotlight":

    Ellery Mayne is a high school girl who makes a disturbing discovery. After a foiled abduction attempt, she realizes that an entire team of security personnel are secretly shadowing her every move. As she works to make sense of this startling development, she secretly transitions from the one who is being observed to the one who carries out observations of her own, testing the limits of a secret service detail who think they are conducting transparent surveillance on a clueless teenager. When the mystery behind the secret security unravels, Ellery is faced with decisions that involve her future and the hopes of two unlikely love interests: a handsome but conflicted security agent who doesn’t realize she knows about him, and her first love—a boy that broke her heart—who has returned to explain his actions and his feelings for her. Told from Ellery’s perspective, she puzzles over what could interest not one but two handsome suitors and a whole security force. Suddenly this quiet loner realizes that her life is In the Spotlight and she is the Mayne Attraction.
