Hey, I just saw your review on Shantaram and I could not agree more. Loved that book. I was about to suggest A Fine Balance but I see you have already read it!

Hi Arnie! I'm from the Canada group and just wanted to stop by to welcome you to the group. It's not a terribly active group, but it tends to comes in spurts. There is a Welcome and Introductions thread if you'd like to introduce yourself there. We also have a review thread if you read anything by a Canadian author. Of course, feel free to contribute to the other threads as well! Enjoy! :-)
Hi Arnie. Thanks for the friendship request. I see most of the books we have in common are works of classic literature. I'm currently reading George Eliot's Daniel Deronda, and will soon be reading Thomas Hardy's The Return of the Native. I'm afraid many of the classics on my shelf are as of yet unread (I have a book buying addiction so my to be read pile is quite big), but I'm slowly but surely reading them.
I see that you are from Bowmanville. If you're interested, I'm one of the admins of the Canada group here on Shelfari. If you're interested I can send you an invite to the group.
Thanks for the reply to my Dawkins question. Much appreciated.
