petticoatgrandma

I am the author of five western historical novels published by Kensington, all out of print now except for Forever Mine, which is currently being sold in Russia. I've been writing for about 26 years, and hope to see westerns come back big time very soon.

Besides writing, I love to travel. I am an avid digital scrapbooker, dye...more »

Thanks for your note. If you haven't checked out www.lovewesternromances.com yet, you'll find lots of new western historicals there. Clicking on the book cover on the latest release page usually takes you to an order site. I'm a co-founder of that site because we couldn't find as many western historicals so we wanted to spotlight the ones that were out there. We even have a reader's choice Best Western of the Year (Linda Lael Miller's A Wanted Man won for 2007) I'm happy to report the releases seem to be growing in number this year--Yipee! Wish your books were in print!

Next time I speak with Denis I'll ask him about the woman you met on the road. Might have to wait until we're back from Wales though. I have wool there to sort out first :-)

It's a little early for me to be thinking about San Francisco, Charlene and it's a heck of a flight for me. I'd rather wait for an East Coast conference so that the dh can do the civil war sites.

Oh, wow, Charlene! I see your picture is taken at one of those castles you visited! The dh is still ticking along fairly well, thanks. So sorry I missed you Denver.

Hi PG! I hope you didn't get too wet on your visit to Wales and Ireland. We're in Carmarthen -- castle country!

You're in the fine company of many of us who are cheering for the rebirth of the western genre. Can't get enough of those cowboys!

    Hi Charlene,
Well - we already share a not so common, name! I'm named after my father, Charles. And thanks for the note. As Pam said, we'll be launching a brand-new western ONLY website and blog and we'll be discussing everything about the old west. We'll be sure to let everyone know when we launch. With a name like petticoatgrandma, you'll fit right in with Petticoats and Pistols.
Thanks for friending me! Oh, and I wrote for Kensington back in 1998- three books.

Great to see you on Shelfari. I hope you have as much fun as I've had meeting people and talking about books. We really enjoyed meeting up with you and your family when you were over, and hope to see you back soon. We'll be thinking of you in Wales in September! We've just hired a self-catering eco cottage in Hay-on-Wye. Imagine...a whole week in the Bookstore Capital of the World!!
