I am working on reading the books from 1001 Books to Read Before You Die. The books I have listed here are the ones I have read so far from the book. My goal is to read every author from the book rather than every work. There are 514 authors listed in the book with from one to ten books selected for the list.
The 1001 Books has been a distraction...er...hobby of mine since 2006. I read more as I can make the time.
If you have a favorite book from the list, please, recommend it to me.
Note: I have found that not all the 1001 books from the 1st edition are in the database. So I will be keeping a list here when I finish one of those titles.
1. A Day Off by Storm Jameson (read 2008)
I am currently reading Proust's In Search of Lost Time. There does not seem to be a way to include the book as a complete set. When finished I will update as one book instead of 6 or 7 individual volumes.
I have started a blog to keep me on track with reading this long, dense work.

Otherwise I do most of my book blogging here:
