  • Object-Oriented Project Management with UML
    • Rated 2 stars

This was a really dry read. Although, very informative. It goes over all the different types of project management techniques and methodologies. Worth a read if you are trying to determine which workflow works best for you and your team.

  • The Object-Oriented Thought Process
    • Rated 5 stars

This was one of the first books I read when I was getting into object-oriented programming. This is definitely at the top of the list when I am recommending "getting started" texts.

This is a must read for anyone who is building applications on the web today. Its a fantastic read, the pages are colored, and written by a great UX engineer.

This was a good book, Really great comparison of Java and surrounding technologies to Ruby and Rails. I loved the code examples, it really shows you the differences in the languages.

This was an informative read. Most people using MySQL end up becoming pretty decent users of the engine without really knowing a ton of the inner workings, which is bad! This book has a lot of good insight into the world of load balancing, security, and performance. This book was a bit dated though, I think they've released a newer version. I should pick that up.

  • The Mythical Man-Month
    • Rated 3 stars

This book is one of those "have to read" texts of computer science. Having said that, a lot of the essays are dated (we are talking punch cards), but a lot of the theories and philosophies are timeless.
