Ah, those crazy Von Carsteins. They're like the best reality TV show of the Old World, despite all their dark, rip-you-half, god-like majesty. Of all the fantasy worlds, Warhammer's vampires are the ones that make me happy, though. They don't just walk around in goth clothes and gesture meaningfully, they crush countries with their armies and the inhabitants with their bare hands.

Very w00tw0rthy. They were represented well in WFRP 2e.

As far as the SRD... yeah. I'm waiting to see what the fallout will be. Hopefully a more robust non-d20 market... but we'll see.

I had no doubts as to your having an RPG collection! For me, RPG's make for some of the most entertaining reading. Or rather, thinking. A few shiny pages of an interesting setting or system can set my mind afloat for days in ways that novels no longer can.

I am quite a fan of WFRP as well, though it's true the system needs a lot of creative injection to shine, which the setting is more than happy to provide. I grew up TORGless due to being shackled to a group that, even to this day, worships AD&D 2nd Ed. Which is fine, of course, but not for me.

As a side not, I appreciate your choices in historical and political books. Those were my main courses of study in university.

    Very cool! Thanks for responding.

Hmmm... I'm stunned to see you have no RPG books on your shelf.

Mind if I ask which RPG's are your favorites?

As a fan of Savage Worlds I would like to say thank you. Your company provides some of the best service I've received and has created a truly innovative and fun game.

I also appreciate your attention to settings with depth (Solomon Kane) that provide for excellent characterization and provide a good mixture of gameplay with the importance of taking on a role. In a world dominated by strongly gamist games, it's nice to see narrativist and simulationist elements coming back into the spotlight.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hello,

I would like to welcome you to Shelfari. I would also like to tell you how much I have enjoyed reading your Deadlands series of rpg books. The altered-history aspect really hooked me--a world wherein the Civil War is still raging in 1876, a world where machines are years ahead of their time, and where finally the mystery of the Reckoners is resolved in the aftermath of apocalyptic war in the far future! Great, great stuff! (I do have a little confession--I have never actually played the game, which is probably a cardinal sin, lol). My hats off to you and your creative team for a great alternate history series and again, welcome to Shelfari!
