I enjoyed reading about how Cheryl Strayed. I admire her for setting off on such a challenging backpacking trip, but at the same time couldn't believe she didn't prepare better. I really am surprised she didn't get into even more trouble.

Three middle aged women get together for an evening of fun and end up reminiscing about their high school sweethearts. The conversation leads to the fact that none of them had sex with their former boyfriends. They set out on a mission to find their young loves, and give them the sex that they owe them. From here on you will laugh, wonder, worry and be amazed. This is a story with unique and original characters that grow and learn through a variety of unexpected events. A true joy to read. I loved it!

Inspiring stories to motivate both children and adults. I loved reading this book. It made feel that my dreams can come true if I dare to believe in them.

    And The Whippoorwill Sang

    by Micki Peluso
    • Rated 5 stars

A riveting memoir about a family struck down by tragedy when one of six children, Nicole, is killed in an auto accident by a drunk driver. Told by Nicloe's mother, Micki, it reveals a story that begins when she is a young bride and describes her struggles with marriage, finances and identity. Through it all the profound love she has for her family never falters. This book will make you laugh, cry, grieve and hope. An inspiration.

A classic for sure. I read Cuckoo's Nest for a class I was taking. The characters, conflict, plot and flow were superb. It's rare to find a read like this.

Good read. Nothing new, but flowed nicely. Couldn't really connect with any of the characters.

Riveting, but disturbing. I couldn't put it down.

Kristin Hannah's descriptions of settings and characters always amaze me. The wriring was clear and sequential and kept me engaged. In the back of my mind I kept thinking, "really?" about some of the situations however, like the lawyer Lexie met only a couple of times taking her under his wing the way he did. Also I think in reality, Jude would've been more sympathetic toward Lexie. I didn't buy into the story, but I still enjoyed it. Read it pretty quickly and looked forward to picking it up at the end of the day.
