    August Book Discussion: Can A Book Make You Healthy?
    It’s time to talk about books that changed our perception on health, sense of well-being and our relationship with our bodies. This encompasses a large number of subjects including popular diets, women’s and men’s health, sports conditioning, aromatherapy, workout slash fitness plans, natural/herbal cures, vitamins, stress management, disease prevention and New Age/Eastern exercise (yoga, tai chi, etc).

    When: Saturday August 22
    Where: Fuzion Smoothie Café or Amici Italian Restaurant (TBA)

    Program:
    11:00am -12:30pm: Pre-discussion activity - FREE YOGA SESSION WITH AL GALANG OF SUNDAR YOGA

    hi, there's great book swapping happening at www.bookmooch.com. it has a forum here at shelfari, at http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23735/about.

    bookmooch is a site that lets you give away the books you don't want anymore and get the books you Really Want to&from bookmooch members all over the world!

    joining is free. you don't spend to get the books but you will have to pay postage to send internationally. with sea mail, you won't be damaged so much though (80/thin book, 150 up for heavier books).

    Hi! You know, I always have a hard time deciding what novels (straight prose as opposed to illustrated stories) because I don't like reading blurbs and I don't want to waste my time on bad writing. But the thing with novels is that I have to read the entire book before I can really decide if I like it, and by then I'd have already spent 5-6 hours of my life that I can never take back. But seeing that you have so many William Bernhardt(?) books, I think I'll read him next. Thanks!! I like Tom Clancy a lot too.
