“This is a romance set in a period in England when people wore wigs and patches which were put on strtegic places on the face to highlight what its owner regards as her best feature. It resembled a mole on the face. Today's woman would see a plastic surgeon about removing the moles on their fAces. Fashions change.
Back to the story: the heroine is a spunky debutante who decides that she will choose her own Mr Right. Her encounters with the hero sparkle with wit.
This is a light-hearted read. I enjoyed it better than Barbara Cartland's romances which were sentimental and sickeningly mushy.”
