“The plot looked like it was done in Chapter 1. Then, the first twist in the story: Reacher arrives unsummoned to make sure the killer pays for his crimes. The second twist when he realises that the killer summoned him. Then the roller coaster ride begins. ”

“Set against post-911, this Jack Reacher novel is about the suicide of a woman aboard a subway train and the ensuing repercussions for Reacher. The finale is extremely violent based on a mantra that Reacher recites afew times - "Standard tactical doctrine for any assault: Attack from the high ground."
The whole novel is imbued with cynicism about the US government and how the post 911 Patriot Act is used against its citizens.”
