  • One and the Same: My Life as an Identical Twin and What I've Learned about Everyone's Struggle to Be Singular
    • Rated 4 stars

One and the same is a very interesting book. It has case studies of twins including that of the author and her twin sister. The twin psychology, behavioral aspects, influence of parents and peers on them etc. are presented in a scientific but very simple to follow manner making it an enjoyable read.

This is a great book. This probably comes at a time when controversial books related to history of christianity is finding a large audience, but this one is devoid of any such deliberate attempt. Inspite of that, the relationship between John the Baptist and Jesus could evoke controversy. As someone with a great deal of interest in historical fiction, specifically those related to ancient history / inception of religions, I found this book really interesting.

  • When the Ground Turns in Its Sleep

This book is about the attempt of a young man to find more about his roots which belong in Guatemala. Though the narrative is slow in patches, it is a very touching story. At times, there were passages which did not make sense at first, but as the story progressed they seemed to have deeper and deeper meaning. In that way you could think of it having a 'Sixth Sense' kind of quality.
