Pastiche

I live in South Louisiana with my Canadian husband and three daughters. (6 year old twins and an 14 month old.) A Great Dane lets us share his home as well. Oh and the horrid fellow fish eating fish, named of all things, Nemo.

I am a voracious and indiscriminate reader. My husband says that I don't read books I devour them. I love to... more »

    Hello Pastiche!
Please accept my gesture of friendship. =)

I have spent some time reviewing your bookshelf and I am sending you this message because you seem to have very similar taste to mine and I believe this may seriously interest you. I hope it does.

2060: THE NEWTON PROPHECIES is a lightening-fast thriller, following Harvard Divinity professor and bestselling author, Michael DiBianco across three countries in a life-and-death struggle to thwart a plot to destroy Christianity, only to discover a secret about his past that will ultimately spawn the apocalypse.

Would you be interested in joining a group reading/review of the above mentioned novel?

So far we have over 10 people excited to start this event, but I know we can get a lot more and there is still time to join. This should prove to be really fun.
    J. Kaye, the administrator of the Suspense & Thriller group has just asked me if I would lead the event. She tells me it will be the first time an author has ever lead their own advance reading group. She thinks it will prove to be really interesting. I agree. This could be very interesting indeed!

Every book that is ordered for this event will be signed by the author and I am supplying these copies to members of this group at 50% off MSRP. I hope you will come join us. We'd love to have you! =)

To learn more and to join please visit the Suspense & Thriller group: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/11778/about

    Thank you!

Hey there Pastiche! I have no idea how your find time to read with a 3-month-old PLUS twins (although maybe they are older if you wrote that profile a long time ago?), but since you like "chick lit" I thought I'd drop you a note. My book, “Perfect on Paper,” is about a single woman in San Francisco whose life is hardly perfect. Anyhow, I thought you might want to check it out. I have to start somewhere to get word-of-mouth going outside of my own friends, right? :)

If you decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it- and if you enjoy it, please spread the word b/c grassroots marketing is all I have to get this thing off the ground!

    Thanks so much!

Hi Jennifer! I actually visited the folks at the library a few months ago. It was awesome seeing them. I still miss that place. Coeur d'Alene is a fun city to live in. I just wish it was easier to get from here to there. I'm going to dig through your bookshelf now. :-)

Pastiche, I must admit - the Great Dane pic got me! I live next door to one and I absolutely adore him, he's the sweetest, gentlest dog ever! I like your shelves, how do you find the time to read so much, you must be so busy with your children. Hope we can be friends.

Hi Pastiche! I see we have at least 1 book in common, Dick Francis' "Field of Thirteen." I like his novels and short stories a lot, although I haven't read them all. I hope you can be my friend.
