Park-Avenue Princess

Park-Avenue Princess

Hello!

My name is Amy and I live in Rhode Island. I've lived here my entire life and I love this tiny little state! There are so many great things to do here. Going to the beach is one of my favorites. But living in New England makes it hard for me to pick a favorite time of year, each one brings something special. Summers are warm and... more »

    Hi Amy!

I see you have Ben Larken on your shelf and wanted to invite you to a Cyber Launch Party Today for the 2009 EPPIE winner for Horror, Ben Larken, to celebrate his new release THE HOLLOWS.

    1949
A young girl is traumatized when she witnesses a grisly murder in the forest behind her home.

    1999
A loving wife disappears in the middle of the night, leaving no trace of her whereabouts.

    2009
Former detective David Alders rents an apartment at a typical complex; a quiet unassuming place nestled in the outskirts of Fort Worth called The Hollows.

David is at a dead end after ten maddening years searching for his vanished wife. With mounting bills and a daughter on the verge of college, he makes the only logical choice: sell the family home, get back to work, and take a cheap apartment. His daughter, Melanie, is secretly thrilled about the change hoping it means a fresh start for their withering family.

But The Hollows has other plans…

As a new community welcomes the Alders into its midst, elusive figures watch from the periphery, waiting for their moment. On the first night, a grotesque, burnt man seizes Melanie in her bed, spewing insane ramblings before disappearing into the darkness. She struggles to convince her father what happened was real, but David has his own problems.

Like the fact that he has just woke up in the wrong day.

Welcome to a tour through the dark underbelly of the last half-century where invisible hands take you by force to the demons of your past. Where you can find terror, time travel, and murder—all for one low monthly rent. Welcome to…THE HOLLOWS.

Pray that the lease agreement expires before you do.

READ THE FIRST 10 CHAPTERS FREE today at www.ll-publications.com

WIN - Join the party and leave Ben a question or comment today over on www.CyberLaunchParty.blogspot.com and you'll get your name in the hat for one of several prizes that will be given away like an autographed copy of PIT STOP, Ben's 2009 EPPIE winner for Horror and an autographed copy of THE HOLLOWS!

I rarely use Shelfari, I am more on Librarything. Mostly because I couldn't figure out all the nuances of Shelfari and I though LT was easier. See you in the blog world

Dear Princess: I am also a New Englander. From Maine originally, now in Massachusetts. I guess I'm getting a little tired of winters, but I love this time of year with summer just around the corner. If you enjoy a good thriller, my debut novel HUNTING THE KING just hit the bookstores in April. HUNTING follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. Watch the YouTube book trailer if you get the chance. It is a powerful preview of the novel. Anbd let me know what you think if you have the time. Enjoy your Memorial Day weekend. Peter
