“All historical authors play with history because, frankly, their characters don't exist. And, if they did, we have no real indication of their motives or the validity of events. With that in mind, I went into reading "The Other Boelyn Girl" with an open mind. What amazed me was the cutthroat nature of politics of the era. We complain about politicical mudslinging today but it's pretty tame compared to what historical documentation proves happened during the reign of Henry VIII. The book itself is very good and gripped my attention from the first page. Mary was a first-rate narrator whose voice resonated with me long after I closed the book.”
