I did read Hughes's "The Wrong Kind of Blood" and wasn't really impressed, but maybe I'll try another. Is there one you'd recommend? I always loved Ross MacDonald's metaphors, sometimes they'd just stop me in my tracks.

Love The Busted Flush and Meyer Meyer, Travis McGee...colors in titles..."The Lonely Silver Rain" my favorite title of MacDonald's. Have you read Ross MacDonald's Lew Archer series? I also love Adrian McKinty's Michael Forsythe series, Irish noir with an American twist. Stuart is really close to Hobe Sound. Wow, small world. Enjoy your reading so many books, so little time...

hi, I found you through your review of Complicity. I read your blurb about liking local authors - if you haven't already, you should try Joshilyn Jackson. She's from your parts. I read her first two, both great!
