Hey Dolly! I miss you, girl. How's things? Send me an email sometime and let's catch up. Or drop in on Booktalk. I hope your finding time to read. I just finished reading The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox. Great! I loved it! Now I've started a booksellers memoir (how apropo, right?) called THE YELLOW LIGHTED BOOKSHOP by Lewis Busbee. I want to underline ever other passage on just about every page. HA HA!

I'm thinking of also starting LITTLE BEE.
Let me hear news from you soon?
    HUGS!

Hi Pammy and thanks for adding me as one of your friends . I write lovely poems and if you like this one below maybe you will consider adding my two books on your shelf. If not you can comment about this poem at http://alejabennett.com

    I Love you

I love you to the moon
I love you to the end of the planets.
I love you till there's no love in the equator,
I love you knowing nothing could be greater,
I will love you from now until decades later.
Let me love you now, not later.
    Let me love you to
    Northern skies,
    Western hemispheres,
    Without worries, fears or cares.
    Allow me to love you,
    Until you care, blossom up,
    Open up-heal from old wounds
that you suddenly, slowly start to share.
Our love is genuine-it can't compare.
Now your love has opened up wide
Like a brand new gift on Christmas day
See what happens when you allow
    Someone to love you.

    Hi Pammy,

Thanks for dropping by. I don't get on here much either in fact this is the first time I've checked into Shelfari in about three months. Nothing happening here too much and I'm busy.

Everything's going great. My new book, "Giving Up the Ghost" comes out in 2011. You can read about it on my site: http://www.stacy-deanne.net

Hey Dolly! I'm so happy to have your quick response. So you're in Buffalo right now? I'm so sorry to hear your Mom is unwell again. It must be so hard on you with your brother gone and you living down in GA. so far from your Mom. I guess it's just as well that you are not working since you need to spend time with your Mom.
It's been some time since you were "regular" on Booktalk and I often think of your kids and wonder how much they have grown up since then. Our girls are the same age, you know? And your sweet little boy must be a young man now. I love your avatar photo here. Great picture. Well, I send healing wishes and prayers for your Mom and you be strong. I hope you get lots of reading time in when your mom is napping or at doctor appts. Sending you big hugs!

Hi Dolly! It's so good to find you here even though we've been book loving friends for years over on BOOKTALK. I miss the "visiting" we used to do and often wonder how your girls are doing and if you're still working in the bookstore and many other things. I had fun looking over your shelf here. Are you a decorative glass collector? I was intrigues by that book about glass on your shelf. I buy up vintage glassware and artglass that I find in resale shops for my cousin who is an artist and paints on the pieces I find. It's one more thing besides books that I like to look for in garagesales and resale shops. Send me an email sometime so we can really "catch up!" I miss you, girl!

Dear Pammy: I am an author from Massachusetts. My debut novel HUNTING THE KING was published in April.

HUNTING is a fast-paced page-turner that follows archaeologist Molly O'Dwyer into war torn Iraq in search of the remains of Jesus. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father, and after her mother’s death was raised on the campus of a Jesuit university. ForeWord Magazine says: "Fans of intellectual thrillers and historical fiction will find a worthy new voice in Clenott. His best invention may be Molly O’Dwyer, a genuinely likable heroine who more than holds her own in a man’s world. An ambitious scientist, she is also an observant Catholic whose heart and mind don’t always agree. Given such an auspicious start, the sequel can't come too soon." Booklist compares HUNTING favorably to DA VINCI CODE.

To get a good sense of how exciting the novel is check out the heart-pounding trailer for the book on YouTube.

    Thanks.

    Hey Pammy,
Thanks for the note. At the moment I'm trying to read some classic science fiction, so I've read some Arthur C Clarke, Robert Heinlein, and I'm currently reading "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card. I've got such a big TBR pile, I'm contemplating what I'm in the mood for next. Might go for some non-fiction next time around!

    Hope you are well,
    Stuart
