I'm a book, type and graphic designer. I live in Brooklyn, New York. I work for Tor Books. I enjoy reading anything and everything, but mostly science-fiction, fantasy, biographies, history, science, sociology, economics and politics. I regularly hit the crap out of some screens, occasionally I've been known to rock a Vandy, and sometimes cut... more »

    Hi:

I thought you might be interested in a contest. It’s wacky, creative and ‘killer’ fun. ‘Create a Corpse’ Contest lets you name a character in my suspense novel Divine Justice. Of course, you guessed it—the character dies

For contest details, just scroll over the following URL, copy and paste into your browser. This is a great contest for avid readers who’d like to be part of the process. I look forward to receiving your entries. :)

    Hi:

I’m touching base with all my Shelfari friends since it’s been so hectic lately and doesn’t seem like it’s going to slow down. I have just started my Fall/Winter Book Tour, after recently completing a 1-month virtual book tour (VBT) that was quite exciting. If you’d like to check out my VBT, please go to: http://www.whalesongbook.com/virtual-tour-2007.

If you are in the Edmonton area, or traveling to Edmonton, Alberta, between now and Christmas, please check out my book signing schedule. I would LOVE to meet some of my Shelfari friends in person.

And don’t forget, if you order any of my books (Whale Song makes an awesome gift for any woman or young girl in your life), please contact me and ask for a FREE autographed bookplate and bookmark.

    Happy reading!

    Hi Pablo:

You may enjoy reading The River, since it is a combination of conspiracy thriller with a sci-fi twist. It deals with nanotechnology, time travel and the search for youth and eternal life. While it is fiction, it takes place on the Nahanni River in Canada's rugged Northwest Territories, an area known as the "Bermuda Triangle of Canada". :)

I hope you'll check out The River. It's available online--Amazon etc. and it's by me--Cheryl Kaye Tardif. It is also in negotiation with a film producer for a feature film.

Oh, and I am looking for a new publisher for it. :)

Maybe we could chat sometime. I love TOR books!

Hi! Great collection. I'm almost done reading Clockwork Orange. What did you think of it? And yep, I try to refrain from ripping up the carpet too :-)

I loved the Kushiel stories. I don't know if they are ur style, but there are some great sword fights (not as amazing as Dritz, but good).
And the way she divides europe and the divinities is pretty rocking
