Sorry about that, here is the site:
http://ireaderreview.com/2009/09/08/kindle-public-domain-books-top-100/
Jes, here for your Kindle is a site that lists the top 250 most popular free public domain books, just click on any of the titles and it will take you to the Kindle store.
That's exactly what I'm dealing with. Can't seem to see anything through. I keep feeling guilty for picking up other books when I should really be working on finishing The Count of Monte Christo. I'm never gonna finish that book. Sigh...
My reading has been so off lately. I'll read a chapter then put it down for days. It's taking me weeks to finish a novella, lol. So far, it's interesting, but I'll let you know when I finally finish :-)
Don't forget to sign up to pick one of this month's authors over at Author, Author. Check out who we're reading this month, and help us pick for next month. Just find the discussion titled "Sign up to choose February's author" and put your name in the hat by tomorrow (Saturday) evening.
BTW, how are you? Sounds like things are pretty crazy for you. You moved didn't you? Are you doing anything special for Imbolc? I finally found a small group of people that I seem to click with, so we'll be going out to a local nature reserve to celebrate. Anyway, send me a note sometime :-)
Wishing you and your family a happyThanksgiving and Christmas holiday.
You're welcome to use the photo if you want to. Sorry the message didn't reach you. I sent it from my cell phone, so that is probably why. Plus, I only just got back home on Sunday. The cruise was fantastic! New York City was probably even better. I got to see Wicked on Broadway, and had a really great time with my best friend who I rarely get to see. Canada was beautiful, and I'm totally in love with Halifax and Quebec City. Just amazing! The fall colors really made the experience though. I'll have some pics posted on facebook eventually. Perhaps by the end of the weekend.
Glad to hear things are going well for you :-). I totally know the feeling of hectic semesters, though I'm glad I'm done with that for now. I suppose I'll find myself back in school eventually, but I'm enjoying the free evening in the meantime. Good luck with the rest of the semester! It's almost over :)
Hi Jes! Did you get my facebook message? I would love to see the finish product, if you decide to use the photos. I was really flattered. Thank you :). How are things? I haven't seen you around for a while.
Hey! Thanks. It's Dave McKean. He's done a lot of work with Neil Giaman on his various comic books. I love his art!
Jes I grewq up in a small village where there was nothing to do and thought that there was nothing interesting about me, even made a teacher cry once when she read that. But you are interesting, come on show us join this larger village.
Round Table: This is to remind all members we are reading The Once and Future King by T.H. White this month and next. Hope you will enjoy it
Hey! I haven't seen you around for a couple of days. Hope everything is o.k. I just finished reading a really fantastic graphic novel. I think you might appreciate it as an art student. Anyway, hope to see you around :-)
I finally finished Oryx and Crake. I started listening to it and that seemed to go much faster than reading it. The reader was great, and the story really picked up in the last half. What a crazy story. I guess I saw most of it coming, but like Snowman says "We understand more than we know." I think I like Handmaid's Tale a bit better, but this was a really thought provoking, and in many ways disturbing book. I liked it a lot!
Jes - posted some recommendations on the thread at PBT for the adventure tag. Hope it helps!
Not a problem:) I was late last month for Brooks (and I'm one of the moderators!)
Jes, your the winner of the Savannah Vampires book! I randomly selected but I was glad it was you cause I know what it's like when you just can't get your hands on a book. If you pm me with your home address I'll get that to the author so she can get The Vampires Seduction out to you. Can't wait to hear what you think of them!
I've been a bit slow getting into it. After LTS, I just wanted mindlessness. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it this weekend though, at least before the bunny hop starts :)
I'm enjoying it though. I find that I haven't had the time to commit to it, and it's not one of those books you can read a few pages at a time. At least not for me.
Hi Jes,
