I'd prefer it if the above had a bit to a lot of romance and comedy in them. I don't necessarily look for Thrillers but being thrilling is a definite plus as well. On a whole I prefer a combination of genres to get that certain flavor I crave in books. I'm always looking for fresh ideas or new and interesting takes on older ones. I think prose and writing style is important too but I can forgive a lack of originality on that front if the reading experience is fun or it provides a new subject matter or take on a subject for me. I will read adult books if I have to or feel like it but what I truly enjoy is Young Adult novels. I imagine if I ever accomplished my life long pet dream of publishing a work it would definitely be for teens to older teens. I really like reading manga too but I have a separate account at MyAnimeList to keep up with that. « less
