Just thought I would stop by and say hello. I believe our first contact was when I started to send out my neswletter. This year's edition of Positive Spin is ready. I had no idea you were an author of so many books. I have submitted to Edge Science Fiction in the past. Any pointers about queries and what they are looking for?
    Thanks A. D. Smith (scribbles)

I can't believe I found you on Shelfari of all things! Well, anyways, I have been a fan of your series for a very long time (thanks to Sarah, who introduced me to it. Are you still in touch with her, by the way?) and just discovered that more has been written... which means a trip to the library. Thank goodness for the internet or I would have never known. Well, just popped in to say hi and vomit sparkling globs of fangirl squeals on your shoes :)

i know! i don't care what critics say, jane austen is one of the best authors ever! it's amazing that the society she described a hundred years ago is still more or less the same society that we live in now - we still indulge in the same follies and fall into the same pits...i love her rumor, and i think her novels speak to a lot of folks even from this part of the world in this generation because she writes about people as they are, not as good or bad or heroic or wrong or right... i like that emma's a spoiled brat, elizabeth's a snob, fanny price is a big bore, and anne's a frightened prude...i'm tired of reading about noble heroes living their great important lives (isn't that just the shallowest thing you've ever read? lol)!

    Hey Lynda,
Thanks for the note. Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you. Forgettable books tend not to stay on my shelf, so most of the things I have rated are books that i have enjoyed. I think generally if I feel strongly enough to rate it then I've pretty much enjoyed it. Anything less than a two rating I'm inclined not to bother (or if I do, it's to warn people off an absolute horror - but as an author myself, I try not to do that). 3 stars - It was OK. Muddled through it. 4 stars - Enjoyed it. An agreeable read. 5 stars - Loved it. Couldn't put it down.

Nope, you haven't. I did private message you recently but I am not sure that function is working.
I did buy one of your books off the marketplace at Amazon recently and was planning to read it. It looked interesting.
(I looked you up on the web

Yes, the older girl is my daughter, who is now 16. The baby is my son who is now 7. I am going to put up on of my little one next. She is 2.
Writing can be hard. I come from a writing family so I know how it s. So far I haven't submitted anything for publication yet but I may soon. I do not think anyone ever wrote the great american novel with kids in diapers though lol.
I told my daughter to learn a trade she could always do and pursue art on the side until she could support herself with that. So far she is listening.
She, at the moment, wants to pursue a career in law enforcement. I am really proud of her.

I'm no expert. I just admire them. And they're some of the most beautiful creatures you can imagine. Here are a few books that might be of use to you.

    1. The wolf : the ecology and behavior of an endangered species by L. David Mech.

    2. The wolves of North America. Part I. Their history, life habits, economic status, and control, by Stanley P. Young. Part II. Classification of wolves, by Edward A. Goldman.

    3. The way of the wolf by L. David Mech ; foreword by Robert Bateman.

i know! i'm no expert on books or anything but i can tell without a set of criteria whether a book i've read is touching or happy or macabre or just confusing... i dont have to pretend to like deeply intellectual books that don't appeal to my... um... baser insticts? lol
