I agree with what you said on my page about Pillars of the Earth. This is a book I re-read every few years. I see you've got Unaccustomed Earth. I've got to read that one. Absolutely adored THE NAMESAKE.
In response to your comment on Pillars of the Earth, I read it years ago when it first came out in hardcover. I really wanted some visuals to go with it so I found David McCullough's book Cathedral in the children's section of our public library and it was a great companion. I don't know if I spelled his name correctly - but its on my "shelf" here if you want to look.
