hi there... doing good... how bout u? well book thief is about this young girl losing her brother and mom during the sec world war... she goes to the foster home and how she goes on from there and end up falling in love with books... excellent read.... the way of writing is like music (to my ears :) ) so wat u doing now? me working in singapore....
ohk when u finish HP may be u can try The Book thief... my fav novel to date... very nice...
hi madhavi.. yeah start reading from the first... if am not wrong 4th / 5th was a bit touch slow... but worth the time... all the 7... have fun...

In response to your question about reading the harry potter book: If you liked LOTR you should like the HP series. But i would suggest starting at the beginning or at least not the 6th book, because all of them are pretty much stand-alone except for this book as it is basically one big build-up to the final book. hope this helps :-)
