Have you ever put away an activity for a while that you REALLY enjoyed doing, then picked it up again one day and asked yourself, "Self, why in the world did we quit doing this?"
That is exactly what happened to me in July of 2007.
I had just graduated from college with my degree in Business Management. It took me ten years to earn that...more »

I have not yet seen the new version of what your page says about the book, I shall get back to you when I have. It was only about that you needed to make it attractive, not mysterious and difficult to get to.

I had no intention of being rude much less demeaning, but the whole thing began iwth your invitation to join a group called "Celtic Sacrifices", a bit alarming, and then I look at the site and discover it is about your book and there are no disfussions that could tell me anything about it - and out of politeness towards a new freind I try to find that information and it is not there, and then you respond by saying "ask me, I shall be happy to provide any info you want" and talk of assisting me - in fact you were falsely haughty, and I am sorry for your book because who knows it might be good and I might even like it but you are making it difficult for a friend and a prospective reader with that whole thing. If I did not care I would have refrained from suggesting to you what you should do rather than making it so difficult - and it is ridiculous, after all if I see it in a bookshop I might skim through it before thinking of buyin, that is normal for any intelligent reader. So talking of assisting me by providing the blurb - again, ridiculous and false position, it not I who need it and it will not be "assisiting" me. Pointing those disparities hardly makes me demeaning to you - unless it is demeaning to you to correct any incorrect statements. If this post is demeaning to you cool and think later.

Just to clarify - I was not asking, and to talk of assisting me in this is ridiculous; I made a suggestion that would help you, since most people would rather not take so much pain to hunt for a reason to buy your book. What I said was more in nature of advice to help you and perhaps make you see it was unreasonable to make people go through so much trouble if you wish to promote your book.

The last sentence was related to the point about whether a book or film is worth the experience - so while a plot might be good or bad it is not enough to tell you if the whole experience will be; on the other hand the theme is important.

What does not help your book is the one liner you have put there - I will be happy to provide you with any information you like - which makes one feel like a voyeur and that is unnecessary. After all do you really wish to make your book into a secret hard to unravel unless one goes out and buys it and reads it? If you do you are doing everything right of course, carry on.

I went to the latter one, since it was given on your page. As for the second part it is a bit offputting to have to think of what to ask - and you are making one work too hard to find out if your book is interesting enough for one to buy and read; why not put down a few words to tell people about it, a decent blurb need not give out the plot and risk some giving up on buying it. Just write about the thought processes that went into your writing it in the first place - not your activities but what one can relate to the book. I really don't know what information I would like but the plot is not part of it - the plot of a book or a film is neither here nor ther usually.

Thank you for the invitation. I am not sure what the group is about, after looking at the site, other than the book which shares the name.

The name is juxtaposition of two words, one with mysty romantic connotations and other with either sacred or awful ones, and is certainly evocative - but uncertain of what. And the reviews were of no help.

So I am still uncertain what the group is for, and therefore about joining it. Good luck to you in your writing.
