I love reading. I have been reading or been read to from a very young age. I am an elementary teacher and I try to nurture a love of reading in my students. I love reading. I have been reading or been read to from a very young age. I am an elementary teacher and I try to nurture a love of reading in my students. (That sounds frumpy but I work hard at it!) My shelf reflects my love of children's books and picture books. I particularly love picture books for the beautiful art work. The new pop-up books are fantastic! I am also an avid adult reader. I have read smut, smilies and serious books. Biographies of people who have influnced my life also interest me. I think my all time favorate is Sarum followed closely by Pillars of the Earth and in children's literature it would would be The Relatives Came. I am constantly reading and looking for books with new twists and unusual turns. Historical fiction is a favorate genre. I love reading books to my students that gives them a different perspective of things, or makes them think about new ideas or old ideas in a new way. « less
