Dear Valandra: I have written a novel you might enjoy. It has an historical bent. There is a romance in it. It is definitely contemporary as it takes place in Iraq. The novel is called HUNTING THE KING. It revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O'Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother die in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother’s death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college. Now an archaeologist, she has been recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to discover whatever or whoever is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As an observant Catholic, she is scared that whatever she finds will have devastating consequences for her faith. There is a wonderful YouTube book trailer well worth watching if you have the chance. If you do get to see, please let me know what you think. Thanks. Peter

Some of the books are fantastic, while others seems like they were written in a hurry. The first one is great because it introduces Annja and tells the story of the sword that belonged to Joan of Arc. However, the rest of the books can be read out of order because its not a continuation of the story line. The Rogue Angel, The Spider Stone, and the Forbidden City are the best so far. As soon as I get to the other books, I will let you know.

Hope this helps you to decide.
