At a young age I was taught to read. The ensuing years saw me read a great deal of books, nary without pictures. Something in my cortex doesn't work the way it should, so the results are not common.

A thousand pictures are worth around one 30 second (900 frames) Superbowl commercial spot.
A 30 second Superbowl commercial spot costs about $3 million to air, and I'm going to guess about $3 million to produce.
A thousand pictures holding a thousand words each means a Superbowl commercial spot contains about 1,000,000 words worth of value.
A bible, depending on who you ask, contains around 1,000,000 words.
