You leave the previous book with ideas and themes-characters even-caught in the fibers of your clothes, and when you open a new book, they are still with you." taken from The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield. Hi Sandy! I was just reading your review in PBT and noticed you said you lived near Ashville, NC. I had to do a double take. I didn't realize you were in NC. I'm in the Charlotte area, but my parents are in Hendersonville, so I travel up that way all the time. Awesome to find a local person here on Shelfari! :)

One of ours has pins in his leg. Several have emotional issues as they were so badly abused by former owners. But all in all they are a good clowder of cats!

Ozzette (orange kitty...I change my cat pics fairly frequently) is #4 kitty in our household of 10 rescued cats. Although she is approximately 2 yrs old, she is a little runt, but can leap tall buildings in a single bound!

I forgot to answer your other post, about Koontz. It's funny because I asked both you and kairiliy about those same books and neither of you has read any of them! I guess I'll have to find out for myself!

YAY! That's great Sandy! Thanks for letting me know! That was really fast... I hope you enjoy it. It gives me hope that the one I'm waiting for from Alabama (?I think...she moved recently and now I can't remember) will also arrive soon... I think it was sent on the same day. :-)

Good for you for finishing the book anyway! I was going to pop over to ask about the Koontz books I've had sitting on my shelf all these years! ;-) I see one of them you've just added to your "plan to read" (The Key to Midnight). The others I have are Hideaway and Icebound. Have you read them? What do you think?
