A near future story told from the point of view of three main characters. An On-line bank is robbed by a group of Orcs and the local police are brought in to investigate... was a Hugo finalist.

Amazing guide to life. Read it in a couple of days then re-read it later. I recommend.

Another winner for Rob. I enjoyed this a lot. My one small nitpick, I felt he purposely wrote this to be adapted as a film (which would be a great idea). I guess I could just feel a different vibe with this one. A well deserved finalist for the Hugo award.

First in this series that I've read. I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading more in the series.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I've read it three times (once a year). I WAS surprised when it was nominated for and won the Hugo. I didn't consider it SF or Fantasy. Gaiman is a bit of a genre unto himself. I can't really say why I like it. There are plot, motivation and attribution of powers to certain gods that were problematic. The fact is, there are just some books, like movies or TV shows, that you hold dear in your heart for unknown reasons. I just plain liked it. Loved it actually.

Rev., Dr. Sievers three volume Biography of Pres. Benjamin Harrison is still the best and most comprehensive. It's flawed by todays sensibilities but still the best secondary source for Harrison. I used to be an historian at the Benjamin Harrison Home in Indianapolis, IN. Below is a link to my Benjamin Harrison page on my blog. http://seeker65.wordpress.com/kleio/

If you plan to see the Iron Movie this Summer, try reading the series from Marvel that inspired it. An eight issue arc of Tony Stark's decent into drink was a first for a main-stream super hero. Favorite quote. Captain America to Iron Man after Tony crashes into a building, loosing the bad guy; "Tony, what's wrong with you?" Tony, clearly buzzed; "I guess I shouldn't have had that fifth martini at lunch." Laughs.
