I like books that are happy. I mean, there has to be some conflict and struggle, but I can't live without a happy ending. There's enough pain in the world without me wallowing in it when I read.

Sanderson's characters are so rich and real. Though they live in a completely foreign world with strange powers and a situation I'm not at all familiar with, I still find myself relating to their motivations and feelings. Engaging story!

These stories are starting to feel formulaic, but the new characters and changing point of view refreshed it significantly. I find myself a lot more interested in the overarching plot than in the plot of the individual novel, but Riordan managed a few touching or relatable moments with each of the characters.

Pretty good, but not so charmingly written as I like. I'll have to read the sequel to decide how I feel about the franchise.

Fun and fluffy. A little more swearing than I would have preferred, but still a nice conclusion to the sweet romance!

Much better than Sparks or Yonwood! I enjoyed the morals taught by the individual personalities of different characters, and thought the plot was interesting and fun.

Reminded me of what it was like to be that age.

Not as good as his other books. Westerfeld is excellent at creating interesting future worlds, but this one was set in present day, or more "yesterday," as some of the cutting edge stuff in his book is a bit old now, which is a bit distracting. The conspiracy plot is a bit thin. Really, I've liked all of his other books better, and am a bit disappointed in this one. It's not bad, but it's not up to his standards at all.

I liked this one much better than the prequel. Our heroine really did grow up a bit, and the cliffhanger ending really leaves me wanting to see what happens next!

Still, it's light and fluffy and meaningless. A nice beach read.

It had an interesting premise, but was ultimately too graphic for my tastes. It could have used a little more work in translating and editing, as well. I would have been interested in the sequels, except that right off the bat I hated Blomkvist for losing his marriage to his stupid relationship with Erika. Salander is a much more relatable character, but I just got tired of all of the casual sex everyone was having. Blomkvist was just a man slut.

More an anti-war moral than a good piece of fiction.
