No offense meant; none taken. The way all religions have been propogated I couldnt agree more that they have been a major cause of bad blood. Imagine being born in a religion, culture or place gives one the right to look down on anything not in conformity with thoughts bred in without recourse to a broad view. Man could not have dug a deeper hole of discord than his fanatic adherence to a brainwashing from infancy. I could describe my creed in four words and it wont be ant any faith, be it monotheist or otherwise. "Do good and be good". Have a great day.
I couldnt agree more with your comment on 'The Prophet'. I was not recommending the book on religious grounds; definitely not the way religion has been perceived since its inception. The book has moral teachings for all human beings. Kahlil Gibran' the author, was a Lebanese Christian and his funeral was attended by all good people regardless what faith they were born with. You might want to see his statue in Washington D.C. Happy reading friend.
