At the moment, I am a Zoology Student. Most of the books I read are science fiction, fantasy, and urban fantasy/paranormal romances.

You can see from the volume of Star Wars books on my shelf that I am a big Star Wars fan, and one of my hobbies is writing science fiction and fantasy stories (hopefully, one day to be a published author,... more »

I only brought this book for the Patrica Briggs story, which I throughly enjoyed. However, I expected the book to be an anthology of werewolf stories, not what it actually is. I couldn't really get into the Karen Chance or Eileen Wilks stories, and I'd got quite bored when I got to the third one, so much so that I didn't even bother reading Sunny's. I gave it three stars because I enjoyed Patrica Briggs' story - shame about the rest. Regular readers of Karen Chance and Eileen Wilks may like the stories, but if you're only going to get it for one author, borrow it from a library, or get it at a discount - unlike me who paid full price for it.

Although there's nothing technically wrong with this story, as it is quite an enjoyable read, it would have been better off being a bonus story in another Dark Hunter book, or a part of an anthology because it's short, and I don't think that it justifies the £6.99 that I paid for it. Basically, if you're going to read it, get it from the library, or buy it at a discount. Having said that, I only read Sherrilyn Kenyon's work when I want a break between reading long novels, or as an "holiday" diversion.

This book was pretty average. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two as the plot didn't seem to go anywhere and it took me a lot longer to get through than I thought it would. Also, the synopsis mentioned an irate pack of werewolves after her, but all that turned out to be was one ware acting as an insurance collector - hardly a pack.

I was excited about reading this book, as I was looking forward to something within the ware/shapeshifter genre that was different. However, though well-written, I had to give it three stars, instead of the usual four or five stars that I usually give these books. I found the book too long for the plot, and there were too many similarities with Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series, which are far superiour. The heroine complained so much that I just wanted to smack her and I found the Pride structure to be unrealistic. Anyone who knows anything about big cats, lions in partcular, will know that a Pride is made up mainly of female animals, with young and a small group of breeding males (1-4), that are usually brothers. Because of this, I just found the book a bit disappointing and didn't really add anything new to the genre.
