    Sylvia~!

How are you? What's keeping you busy these days?

Sorry for replying late. I'm very busy lately with my school. The semester is about to end in October so I have to finish my requirements so I can graduate this semester. I'm also preparing for the Law Aptitude Exam this November and I'm busy finishing my application forms and letters.

I love that part too.♥ That's also among my favorites! I really love AKD because it's a novel full of emotions. It was like a roller coaster ride.♥ It made me laugh, it made me cry, and most importantly it made me fall in love.♥ I love the characters in that story, even the secondary ones. I also fell in love with Jenny's sister and Royce's brother. I wish they had their own story too.♥

I love The Duke and I.♥ One of my favorite JQ novel.♥ It's the last book I've read before I started getting busy. I also have To Sir Phillip With Love but I might read a new author after I finish with my schoolwork.♥ Which author are you reading now? I want to take part in the Fall Challenge but I might try it out after I submit my thesis. After that, I can finally spend my whole day in the comfort of my own bed with a book in hand.♥

Have a nice day! Happy reading!

Are you finished with A Kingdom of Dreams? Yup, that part with the horse was unforgettable too. That's what I love about AKD. It had that good mix of drama, humor, and romance. I love Royce and Jenny and I felt that they were truly meant for each other especially after reading my favorite part of the book (I don't want to mention it here as I don't want to spoil you Sylvia ♥).

The Duke and I surpassed my expectations. I haven't finished it yet. School was very hectic this week I didn't even had a chance to touch the book. =( I have a copy of To Sir Phillip With Love but haven't read it yet. ^_^

Sylvia, I just wanted to ask, have you read Anne Mallory? I've seen four of her books from my local bookstore. The covers were delicious and hot *laughs* plus the synopsis seemed quite intriguing and I was tempted to buy her books but I want to be sure first. If you've read a novel by hers, please let me know. I want a friend's opinion first before I try Anne Mallory's books.♥ Thanks Sylvia! ♥

    Talk to you later! ^.^

You should watch it too Sylvia.♥ I don't know why but I think that Wall-E is the kind of movie that will appeal not only to children but to everybody else. ^_^ I enjoyed it so much, but then again, I'm a big fan of PIXAR (the creator of Wall-E) movies ever since Toy Story days.♥

I'm about halfway finished reading The Duke and I. It's proving to be a strong competitor for my most favorite Julia Quinn novel. *laughs* Right now, I have The Viscount Who Loved Me and Romancing Mr.Bridgerton at the top of my list. But seeing as how I'm enjoying The Duke and I at the moment, I'm sure that it will become a favorite of mine. I so agree with you! I love Simon's character. He felt so real while I was reading the book. I love his flaws and insecurities. And Daphne is proving to be such a wonderful character and just the right heroine for Simon. I'll try to finish this book this week seeing as how I have tons of work for school but I can't resist not reading The Duke and I.♥

That was my favorite part in An Offer From a Gentleman.♥ When Benedict became emotional, I was like speechless for awhile and I was amazed at how JQ managed to pull it through. It was a wonderful scene and you're right, if it was handles by some other author, I don't know how it will even turn out. ^.^

Anyway, have you read Sherry Thomas? I want to read her novels but I've read quite a handful of reviews where the readers complained about the story going back and forth in time (but it's not a time-travel book) which proved to be, according to them. a distraction. So I'm a little uncertain if I would actually buy a first hand copy or just wait for it to be available at the second-hand bookstore.

Happy reading! Talk to you later.♥

    Hey Sylvia!

I watched Wall-E yesterday with my younger brother. *laughs* He was asking me all week to watch it with him and so yesterday, after his exams, we went together and watch the movie. And to think that I'm already 20 and he's 18. *laughs* We enjoyed the film so much and my brother is even saving money to buy a DVD copy in November. *laughs*

Anyway, before we went to watch the movie yesterday, I dropped by the bookstore and saw a copy of The Duke and I. It was the last copy so I immediately bought it.♥ I also bought A Petal in the River by Kathleen E Woodiwiss (I've never read her before but I've heard a lot of good reviews about her romance novels) and A Summer Affair by Susan Wiggs.♥ I can't wait to read this book. ^_^

An Offer From A Gentleman was based on the story Cinderella but I loved how Julia Quinn managed to pull it through and make the plot her own. I love Sophia, the heroine in that book. because she felt so real to me. I guess, that's why I'm so in love with JQ novels. In one way or another, I could always see myself in every character that she creates.♥

Happy reading~!♥ Tell me what you think of that book after you're done. enjoy!

I'm almost done reading Twilight. I still have about 100 pages left. I'm loving it so far.♥ The first part was a bit slow because it takes a while to set up the story. And it goes from there. I have to warn you though, it's not extremely wonderfully written, but you don't notice it as you're swept along with the narrative. I want to write more about Twilight here but I don't want to spoil you so I'll just save all I want to say for my review later. ^_^

By the way, what are you currently reading? Love the picture Sylvia! ^_^

I'm so glad you were able to find those books Sylvia.♥ If only I could find The Duke and I, plus the last three Bridgerton books then I'll be fully satisfied. ^_^ About the Second Epilogue, it's actually a reprint with just an additional bonus epilogue about the couples and their families, that's why it's called the second epilogue. It's not a completely new story, so don't worry. I've only recently discovered about the second epilogue recently so I guess, I just have to be satisfied with my UK edition covers. ^_^

I actually haven't read any Johanna Lindsay book. But I just got the book 1 of her Mallory series entitled Gentle Rogue. I haven't read The Heir yet but I've noticed there were mixed reviews about that book so I might put it off for later.

Thanks for the link Sylvia. It was really very helpful. Now I know which one to look for when I'll buy her books. I've read the summaries for the books for the Swanlea Spinsters and they sounded very interesting to me. I think I'll go with that first.♥

I will Sylvia! I've actually read mixed reviews for the Twilight saga. But I wanted to read the books first so I could understand where the people are coming from.♥ I have Twilight and New Moon and I hope to finish them by Monday before I come back to school for the week. ^_^

    Hey Sylvia!

Sorry for the late reply. I just got home from school today and we had our midterm exam in Labor Economics this morning. It was really hard, but I'm hoping I could still attain my honors maintaining grade. *crosses fingers*

Which of JQ's books did you find? Those were really a bargain~! I'm glad you were able to find them! Most of my books are second-hand copies but I still choose them meticulously when I buy them from the local bookstore and I usually cover them to preserve their quality. ♥ If I don't find the books I want from the second-hand bookstore, that's when I buy myself a first hand copy but only when I feel that the book is worth it's price.♥ Most of the time, the price of one book can buy you three second-hand books so I'm very reluctant when I'm buying a first-hand copy. =) But when I saw the UK edition covers of the Bridgerton series, I knew I just have to have them. ^_^

I wrote down the authors you recommended. I saw a lot of Sabrina Jeffrey's novels from the second hand bookstore where I usually go to but I don't know where to start. Does she have a series? Or are her novels mostly stand-alones? I'm currently trying out reading paranormal and I just bought myself Twilight and New Moon. I'll start reading them tomorrow as a reward for surviving my 'hell week' in school *laughs*

I have Kresley Cole on my TBR list. But I can't seem to find a copy of the first book in the series that's why I'm still withholding my purchases for the other books. But as soon as I find them, I'll be reading them right away especially now that I'm on a paranormal kick. *laughs*

    Have a great weekend Sylvia!

Have fun checking the shelves out and if you have any questions about one, leave me a note. Obviously, I haven't had the time to leave reviews for all of them. LOL I have managed to tag most so it will be easier to browse.

You're lucky you'll able to read the Bridgerton series in order~! ^_^ I'm having a hard time looking for a hard copy of The Duke and I even in my school library. I have an e-book version of The Duke and I on my laptop but I always get eye strain whenever I'm reading from the laptop that's why I'm always forced to stop. I have a copy of the next four books in the series in their UK edition covers ( The Viscount Who Loved Me, An Offer from a Gentleman, Romancing Mr.Bridgerton, and To Sir Phillip with Love). The covers are very cute and funny, my mother even advised me to collect the Bridgerton series in their UK edition covers that's why I'm still waiting for the bookstore to have their copies. =)

Nope, it's not really a part of a series. But the male lead in Whitney My Love are descendants of the hero and the heroine (from what I know) in A Kingdom of Dreams. After Whitney My Love, there's Until You. I hope you like A Kingdom of Dreams. It's one of my favorite romances and I remember that book made me laugh and cry so hard. I read it in one day and my eyes were puffy after I read the last page. ^_^

I love The Gift~! It's my favorite among the four books in that series. I haven't read Lyon's Lady (which was the first book) but Guardian Angel and Castles didn't really make a big impact on me as compared to The Gift. It's a series but you can actually read them out of order because the books could stand as stand-alones. I know what you mean~! JG"s books are mostly out on loan here in our library as well. A lot of people really love Garwood's novels and I'm happy to be one of them. LOL.

By the way Sylvia, which other romance authors do you like? Any particular romance novel you could recommend? I've been asking friends here about their favorites so I can add them on my list and look for them on the library or the bookstore. With so many books on my TBR list, I don't know which I'll be reading first. *laughs*

    Hello Sylvia~!

Thanks for accepting the friend request. And I'm glad you'll be reading A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught! Is it your first JM novel? Ive only read Until You, Once and Always, A Kingdom of Dreams, and Paradise. But I'll be reading her Whitney My Love, Perfect, and her other novels when I have the time.

By the way, I've noticed you have Julia Quinn's books and her Bridgerton series. Have you read them all? I didn't read the series in order. I've only read An Offer From a Gentleman, The Viscount Who Loved Me, and Romancing Mr.Bridgerton. I have To Sir Phillip with Love and The Duke and I but I haven't read it yet. ^_^

And I noticed you have The Gift by Julie Garwood. It's one of my favorites by her. I hope you liked it. ♥

Tell me what you think of A Kingdom of Dreams.♥ I hope you won't be disappointed.♥
