    Thanks, I need some prayers. I started to tell you the long line of what's been happing and a little complaining but all that does is add to the list of negative things and gives me more to complain about. I found an editor for the story I'm writing and hopefully will get somewhere with that. I am in a lot of emotional pain and sick from the meds but that will pass. I am grateful for your prayers- thank you. I can take all I can get.

    Lance, I see that you're reading the Jewish Study Bible. This is not a bad choice, but if you want a somewhat better translation of the Torah and I and II Samuel you might look at the translations by Everett Fox.

    Another volume, written by a rather strange sort of Christian, that I've found very worthwhile is Augustine and the Jews. It gives you a real feel for what immediately post-Second Temple society looked like.

    Again I agree with a lot of what you shared, on the subject of "Political Correctness" I do feel always speaking ones mind without a filter of respect for every human being can be detrimental at times. Sometimes as a Christian I realize that though I may not agree with everyone, I can be nice to everyone.

    I was looking on your shelf. I am really interested in Pagan Christianity, I plan to order it today. I enjoyed your comments about Christmas and Easter. These things really bother me but there is so much truth in what you said about getting in front of the church and doing more harm than good. Maybe this would be a good forum topic in the future.
