I knew I recognized you from xanga. I didn't want to mention it being mindful to keep your privacy. I love my xanga village, and I'm sure I will find myself having loads of fun here as well.

I posted at xanga today about my new find, Shelfari.

    Thanks for everything ...

    Hi Lance P,

I am new here to Shelfari. You are the very first person whom has requested me to be your Friend. I would sure like to do just that, but I don't know how to sing up for that. Can you teach me?

Thanks. And it is very nice to meet you.

    Hmmm, Good Day My Friend,

I have sent you an request for befriending....I do, believe it a great joy that you have found me. That is, that Doris T has found me for you. Nevertheless, I am convinced that we can teach each other a lot....I am oh so looking forward to learning from you my brother....and please, do me a favor, before we go any further.

let's bind the devil and allof his cohorts....keeping them out of the affairs of our new friendship, and from the thjings that God put us together to do!

Thanx for befriending me my friend! I post on your group! I believe in faith that I answered your questions.

Hi Lance, You are welcome to Connecting with the Creator and I love your point of view on the discussions. I need to do more research on what you wrote about Freewill as I truly did not get the part about rebellion vs freewill. I will talk to you later after I have satisfied my curiousity. I can not remember if I invited you but I hope you invite others too. Cheers

don't know how they have it set up but you might not be able to send an invitation because -as i learned today- administrators can choose whether all members or only administrators can send invitations

If you would like to post some of your James questions on the well watered garden group that would be fine, I feel like the questions are really good.

Ahhh ... might be the shelfari set-up? Maybe the only way to hide the "join group" link is to make it a private group? If that's the case, then I can understand. If so, it would be nice if there was a way to show a discussion publicly but set posting to membership only, and membership to invitation only to avoid the harassment issue, yet still not have to be closed off to the world completely by allowing viewing.

It was still a little off-putting. Aren't we considered blessed when faced with persecution for the Lord's sake? Just thinking out loud here.

Conversations shift like sand here. Don't read too much into things.

I have no idea what you're talking about. My last comment was just pointing out that a group of 'loving' christians was closed to outsiders for viewing how they interact. Posts by members only is completely understandable, but being completely closed to viewing? If it is christian discussion, what do you have to hide from the world?

Just thought I'd mention it because I found that a mite odd.

I looked at that group you mentioned, and the front page saddened me.

"This is a private group. You must be a member to see group content."

I could understand only group members being able to post, but they don't even allow the content to be viewed by outsiders. It's like having a church with its doors locked and barred.

It is so hard to find a group of Christians showing the love of God toward one another. If this group is truly like that, it would really be nice for the world to be able to see that love really is what it's all about.

My, you've been busy over here. Looks like you're having fun too.

As I write this, there is an advertisement to the right for a book titled "A Breath of Snow and Ashes."

I could take that so many ways. ;)
